Sunday 1 Aug 2021 Eoin Wolahan led A walk. They started their walk from Coolbawn Wood near Anglesborough. They walked eastwords beneath Benard mountain before entering the woods which took them up to an opening area from where they ascended parts of lower Temple Hill mountain. They then descended to Pigeonrock Glen before climbing up to the top of Temple Hill where they had lunch. They then took a route westwards finding their way onto tracks which brought them back to their cars. The walk was 11.4km, total ascent 722m, time 4h 20m.
A group of nineteen travelled to The Vee for a B Walk led by Eddie Morrissey. The group followed a track through the ferns along the slopes of Sugarloaf Hill overlooking the Glenmoylan river. Following a zig zag route uphill the group then emerged in the col at the base of Sugarloaf Hill and then headed along the ridge for Knockmealdown where lunch was enjoyed with wonderful views stretching off to the coastline at Dungarvan and beyond. The group descended by Knockmoylan and Knockshane and then followed some forest tracks down to the footbridge on the East Munster/Tipperary Way before the final ascent to the cars. A most enjoyable day with a number of the group reaching the summit of Knockmealdown for the first time.
