Sunday 6 June 2021 Mid-Tipp Hillwalkers took to the hills with both an A and B walk. A beautiful day in the hills with a report from each walk.
Starting from the lower Vee car park Eoin Wolahan led A walk with 12 participants as they walked the Knockshanahullion mountain circuit. They ascended up to Bay Lough tracking through dirt tracks with Rhododendron trees in full bloom. The weather was overcast but excellent for hill walking with fantastic views of the golden vale and surrounding areas. Lunch was enjoyed at the top of Knockshanahullion. A most enjoyable walk.
Mary Power and 17 walkers enjoyed wonderful views and perfect walking on a circuit route in the South East Knockmealdowns on the B walk. The route included reaching the summits of Knocknafalla and Knocknagnauv and back via the foothills of Dyrick to Mount Melleray. Ice cream afterwards in the outdoor cafe.
