Sunday 8 Aug 2021 Dan Condren led A walk which was a loop crossing a low level from Mahon Falls to Coumtay then going up by a fairly steep ramp to the plateau where they had lunch in sunshine. Walked around the top of the coum and then went to cross the river, descending beside the falls. Nine walkers out on a lovely day with lots of variety on the walk.
Kate Fahey led 11 on the C walk in ideal trecking conditions on the West Knockmealdowns. Starting from Crow Hill carpark, trecking up to Knocshanahullion (653 m), then downhill and up on to Knocknalougha. After lunch they continued downhill to join the Blackwater way and along forest track before last treck uphill to Knockcluga and then back to the cars. Lively chat all day and nice to have new walkers in the group.
Next Sunday 15 Aug, an A Walk will leave Cashel at 9.30 am and a B Walk will leave Cashel at 10 am, if you are interested in going on either of these walks, please let Denise know at 087 9253049 by the 6 August.
