The A walk started at the Nire Valley in the Comeragh Mountains. The group of six led by Matt did a 14km circuit and were blessed with beautiful weather all day with the exception of some strong gusts of wind at times. Photo from A walk shows the group in front of the “Sean Bhean Ag Caitheamh Tobac” The old Woman Smoking a pipe.
Denise Laffan led the B level walk on the Knockmealdowns which consisted of 16 hillwalkers, they started from Gloungarriff Bridge and from there headed up Dyrick where they had lovely views and then onto the neverending Knocknafallia, a well deserved lunch was had by all in a lovely sheltered spot, a descent was then made down by the Glen River, very enjoyable day.
The Sunday Ramble led by Brid Ryan Bourke headed to Dundrum Woods. The group of eighteen enjoyed the ramble along the tracks and trails in the woods. Starting in grey dull rain the group were blessed with great views and warm sunshine and finished with a cuppa. Next Sunday Ramble is 10th March, 2019.
