Denise Laffan led group of 14 on the A Walk starting at Rossadrehid carpark, heading up to Knockastakeen with some heavy rain upon them, they then walked onto Lake Borheen in lovely sunshine where lunch was had, after lunch they aimed for Cush with some foggy conditions and came off Cush eastwards which led them down to the forestry and back to the cars, there was great chat through all of the walk and everyone was delighted to be back on the hills again.

For the first day back there were 23 participants for the C Walk. This meant the walk was split with one group led John G O’Dwyer and the other by Brid Ryan Bourke. Fortune smiled on them and, despite the forecast, it was a beautiful day for walking. The hike started in Clogheen village and followed woodland tracks to Bay Lough. After lunch, they returned to Clogheen by a different route.
