Sunday 19 Sept 2021, Mid-Tipp had two walks on the hills

Eoin Wolahan led the A walk starting from Rossadrehid and climbed to the top of Knockastakeen taking in peaks Sturrach, Carriginlair and point 504 before going on to Croc Na gCapall and then to O’Loughlin’s Castle where they had lunch in glorious sunshine. After lunch, they walked on to An Greenaun and then to Farbreaga and down to the Siuthan Doire river. They then walked through the woods and back to the cars. The weather was excellent for hill walking and there were stunning 360 degrees of views throughout the walk. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

John G O’Dwyer led on a lovely mild September day for a long, linear C-walk across the Western Knockmealdown Mountains from Crow Hill Carpark to finish in Clogheen village. Despite a couple of showers and an unplanned diversion, all 27 participants seemed to enjoy the day, which was mostly warm sunshine.
