Mid Tipp Hillwalkers.
Sunday 23rd Sept 2018
Eoin Wolahan led the A walk. The group of 10 started from the Nire Valley car park taking them around Coumlara and up to the gap taking in some fantastic views in the sunshine. It was a fantastic day.
16 B walkers had brilliant autumn sunshine for their walk from The Nire Valley car park led by Dick Hennessy. They began by climbing up to Lake Comduala and then turned left to Cnoc An Aifrinn where they lunched at 755 meters. From there they enjoyed the panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and many of the mountain lakes.
Refreshed, they then proceeded back to The Gap and over to the Sgilloge lakes. A wonderful day out was enjoyed by all.
This coming Sunday (Sept 30th) A and C walks leave from opposite the fire station in Cashel at 11am.
Walking is a great way to get fit as well as being a great way to meet new friends and see new places. Give it a go as new walkers are welcome to come along, so, for a healthy, sociable and enjoyable activity, feel free to join us in Cashel at 11am. Just bring boots, suitable clothes and a packed lunch. A change of clothes and particularly footwear for after the walk is also strongly advised.
The full programme of walks is now on our website at www.midtipphillwalkers.ie. For further information visit the website or Facebook or call
Dan Condren at 087 2273082 for any query re walks.
