24 Feb 2019

24 Feb 2019 the A walk was led by Bridget Browne. In windy conditions the group headed up towards Cush from the Clydagh river car park. Views came and went but it just got more windy as they climbed, for the group of 7 walkers. Due to 50kph winds, it forced them to abandon their walk. They veered off to their left and down to the track at the base of Cush where they had lunch in reasonable shelter. It continued to be very windy all the way back to their cars.

Winnie Flynn led the B walk. Tough going with very strong winds. The group of 17 started at the Clydagh car park, up onto Knocknanuss where they stopped at one of Dan Breen’s hideouts, and back down by Lough Curra.

This coming Sun (Mar 3) A and C walks leave from opposite the fire station in Cashel at 11am. All welcome. Wear outdoor clothing and suitable footwear and bring a rain jacket and a packed lunch.
