Sun 24 March 2019 Ollie Walsh led the A walk with 9 walkers on a beautiful walking day in northwest galtees parked cars at Barna school and followed stream from barrack bridge towards carrignabinnia via easy gully/steep runnel to top out at height 822 mtrs where lunch was had at wall then west to lyranagappal and descend on ridge beside lyraveg glen returning following stream to cars.
Ray Creaney led the B walk on a beautiful day for walking. The group headed up Coumshingaun, always a popular choice with this group, on a fine sunny day and breezed around the circuit chatting away and enjoying the views. No problems with this group’s fitness level for our weekend away in Tralee. A big thank you to the 18 people who turned out and made this a day worth remembering.
This coming Sun (Mar 31) A and C walks leave from opposite the fire station in Cashel at 11am. John G O’Dwyer will lead the C walk for approx 3hr walk around Glenary and Holy year cross. All welcome. Wear outdoor clothing and suitable footwear and bring a rain jacket and a packed lunch.
