Great walk  Friday 28th, with 20 walkers turning out, for the little challenges of the Silvermines Ridge. We were lucky with the weather as we had no rain and hencefore got to admire the surrounding views which included Keeper hill and right over to the Shannon and of course the mines and the lovely Silvermines village. Thanks to everyone for a lovely walk and chat and as usual, there was our lovely cuppa afterwards, thank you to Tommy Hickey in the village, for the beautiful refreshments.

Hard to believe but only 4 Friday evening walks left. These walks are a great way to enjoy moderate level exercise, meet new people and get to know new areas to walk. We are heading to Durrow on 4th Aug to complete the second half of the Leafy Loop. Also it will b a chance to view some of the scarecrows as part of Durrows scarecrow festival from 30 July to 7 Aug. Meeting at Slievenamon Road carpark, Thurles at 620pm and leaving at 6.30pm sharp. Meeting outside The Castle Arms Hotel at 7pm. We look forward to seeing you there; as usual, sturdy boots, rain jacket, and snack. For details please contact Brid.
