Walks will be for Members Only for the coming weeks.

Group of 8 on A Walk led by Denise Laffan. Starting from Mount Mellerary Abbey through the monasterys farmyard leading past a reservoir where there were beautiful water lily’s sitting on the reservoir. This led the group through a forest walk and onto part of St. Declan’s Way, then departed this track to climb Knocknafallia and from there onto Knocknagnauvs summit where the group had a lovely lunch in autumnal sunshine. From there, the group headed down towards Rough Glen River and crossed over a bridge and walked back down towards a track where one could see the man made viaduct which serves the monastery with water. The group then followed a forest track which led them back to the monastery, a great day out.

Kate Fahey led 7 on the C walk in perfect weather conditions. They headed for Slievenamon starting 4km from the trail head. Taking in 3 peaks, up Sheegouna, lunching on Slievenamon, descended steeply northward and back over Sheegouna.
