Willie Fahey led the A walk on the first real day of Summer 2021. The group started at the upper car park and climbed the Sugarloaf. Then on down to Lough Moylan and Knockshane via a gully. Lunch in the sunshine and home via Knockmealdown. Lough Moylan is a dry bed, it has not held water for many, many years. A super day for walking and all 14 hikers in great spirits.

Eileen Ryan led the C walk. The group had beautiful weather, bright sunshine and a cooling breeze. They started from the Nire Valley, walked into the Gap and then headed to Coumlara for lunch among the rocks. Detoured in to see one of the Sgilloge lakes before heading back to the cars. 21 walkers in all so split into 2 groups with Tom Ryan M kindly leading the overflow group.
