A group of 12 A walkers completed a circuit of the Punchbowl led by Denise Laffan, on reaching the trig point of Lachtnafrankee, veered south west to a few unnamed hills, where views of Galtees, The Comeraghs & the Knockmealdowns could be seen. Following lunch at a section of the Glenary River in beautiful sunshine, headed north where they came across other walking companions from the Club, great chat was had for a few minutes. On saying “Au Revoir” to our fellow walkers, continued up Longhill and dropped down to a coll and veered back down through the forestry.
John G O’Dwyer led the group of 12 C walkers around Glenary and Holy year cross. In beautiful blue skies and sunshine they enjoyed the walk taken in views of Clonmel and the surrounding hills.
