The C walk led by Ray Creaney, and comprising of 18 hardy walkers, headed up the Black Road before descending to the Attycran river. They then followed the river back up to the col, making great use of the shelter afforded by the valley. They had lunch at the top of the valley and went back to their cars by the black road. Well done to everyone who turned out on such a bad day.
Willie Fahey led the A walk in the East Galtees. Nine lively walkers entered the Knocknabooley Woods circa 3 kilometres on the Cahir side of Rossadrehid. After about 50 minutes walking on forest trails they emerged onto the east side of Farbrega. An hour later they had lunch in the Ardane Woods. Their route home took in a low level traverse of Farbrega before joining the trail back to their cars.
