Ollie Walsh and 11 others were on A walk on 13k hike in Comeraghs parking at Tooreen east taking in Milk Hill, Tooreen mountain and Coum feá and returning via ridge on Lyremountain to cars a fairly tough walk with wet under foot conditions and a lot of previously unwalked mountain for the group.

Dan Condren led a great B walk with 15 out on the beautiful and challenging Coumshingaun circuit, taking time out to visit Kilcooney Mountain, the highest point in the Comeraghs. Most enjoyable, despite the huge numbers of people out. On the way down, some of our members assisted a walker from outside the group who had fallen helping him down some of the way until met by the rescue services.

The Sunday Ramble headed to Cadamstown to complete an extended ramble which took in Paul’s Lane and part of the Slieve Bloom way. After very heavy rain earlier in the morning the group made their way up Paul’s lane which was very muddy and headed off on the Slieve Bloom way. Heavy mist started and the coats went on and we climbed to highest point where group met the friendly group of Roscrea Ramblers having their break. After quick chat our group headed along through swinging gate onto gravel path and back down to reconnect with Paul’s lane loop and along by Silver River where group enjoyed their lunch by the banks of the river. After lunch stopped to enjoy the beautiful waterfall and then continued along by path along river and back by farmland to start of trailhead.
