On Sun Oct 8 Mid Tipp Hillwalkers had 3 walks and 37 walkers out on the hills.
Ger Fewer led the A Walk in the Comeraghs. 9 walkers, Very cloudy on top with beautiful clear views down at Lough Mohra. We were joined by a goat. The walk started at Old Scout Hut, up to Shauneenabreaga, up to Knocksheegowna and on up to Knockanaffrain where we had lunch. From there downhill then along forest track, to a circuit of Lough Mohra, continuing on track back to the car.
Ray Creaney & 9 others headed out on the B walk to Galtymore, up the north face. Tough going in the conditions. But they all made it, some were even smiling. Well done to all on a hard outing.
John G O’Dwyer lead the Ramble and had 16 walkers out for the lovely ramble up to Lough Mohra in ideal weather.
Meanwhile, this coming Sunday (15 October), A and C walks leave from opposite the fire station in Cashel at 11am. New walkers are welcome to come along, so, for a healthy, sociable and enjoyable activity, feel free to join us in Cashel at 11am. Just bring boots, suitable clothes and a packed lunch. A change of clothes and particularly footwear for after the walk is also strongly advised. The full programme of walks is now on the website.
