Sun 25 Jun

Our annual long walks Sunday was a great success last Sunday.  Willie Fahey and the A walkers completed the full crossing of the Knockmealdowns in nine hours, the B’s with Ray Creaney did a 6½ circuit going up the Pidgeon Rock valley and taking in Temple Hill, Lyragappul and Monabrack, and Tina Bourke with nine Ramblers did the full Silvermines Ridge in 4 hours.  the weather was changeable which resulted more putting on and taking off coats than would normally happen in a month, but it was lovely for walking, and lovely views were enjoyed by all.
