The Holly Walk

Mid-Tipp Hillwalkers annual Holly Walk led by John G O’Dwyer will take place on Sunday week, 11 December. This is a relaxed walk on forest track suitable for walkers of all abilities. Refreshments will be provided along the way. This walk has been going for over twenty year and is always a very sociable and enjoyable event with many walkers, and everybody is invited. So, feel free to come along – you will be very welcome. Just wear sturdy footwear and clothes that will keep you dry and warm. A change of clothes and, especially, footwear for after the event is recommended. Meeting point for the walk is opposite the fire station in Cashel, departing at 11am.
Meanwhile, this coming Sunday (04 December), A and B walks leave from Cashel at 11am. Last Sunday, the lovely autumn weather continued as Kate Fahey led the C walk in Glenary and Eileen Ryan brought the A walkers on a lovely loop of the Nire Valley. Congratulations are also due to SEMRA (mountain Rescue) who organised a most enjoyable and successful night walk from Clonmel on Saturday. Well done to Matt Joy and all involved.
